The cost of care for your pregnancy, whether with us or in hospital based care, is broken down in the same way:
-
Global Maternity Fee: This fee covers care from a provider for routine prenatal visits and your birth
-
Specialist Provider Fees: If you see a specialist during your pregnancy, those visits are billed separately
-
Birth Facility Fee: Birth at the birth center or hospital. We can estimate your costs of birth at the birth center. You have to call the hospital billing department to estimate the costs of birthing there
-
Postpartum and Newborn Fees: These fees are often bundled together by insurance companies
-
Postpartum and Newborn Facility Fees: Newborn care at the birth center. At the hospital you may see a fee for postpartum stay as well. Ask the hospital billing department.
Labs and Ultrasounds: paid for separately, directly to the provider and location where you have that service. We do not charge a facility fee for dating ultrasounds at our site. The company that does the ultrasound will bill you directly.
All OB and Midwifery providers run the same prenatal labs. Your insurance will be able to tell you what you will owe based on routine prenatal labs at your initial, 28 week, and 36th week of pregnancy.
Nitrous: low dose "laughing gas" is available at the birth center. Insurance does not cover the cost of using it. There is a $300 fee due at the time of service (payable online) for use of nitrous.
Registration Fee: We have a $500 Non-Refundable Registration Fee.
Group/VillagePrenatal Care: included in your Global Maternity Fee
Village Lactation and Classes: offered at no charge or suggested donations.
